Company Booths

The booths are staffed continually during the job expo by company representatives who can provide company information and help answer any questions you might have.
This is an excellent opportunity to further your understanding of the company and speak face to face with someone from the human resources department.
It is recommended to research in advance about companies you are interested in and come with a prepared list of question. Generally an online application is required if you wish to have an interview and participate in information sessions. An application can be made on the following website.

Interview Rooms Many of the companies conduct on the spot interviews in this private area.
This gives you an opportunity to be yourself and relax so your skills and personality shine through.

“What is the key to a successful career?!”
“What are the latest economic and industry trends?!”

The answer to these questions and more can be attained by attending one of the various seminars run by experienced industry leaders and executives. Participation is open to all AJE participants.

Global Career Center

The Global Career Center assist your job hunting by experienced career consultants from Japan, the US and various other Asian countries. The consultants can provide you with local job information as well as career advice for a specific locale. Drop by the desk of the country where you are thinking about working or living in the future with any questions or concerns you might have.

Job Hunting Help Desk The Job Hunting Help Desk is staffed by career consultants who can provide you with advice and support as well as answer questions regarding your job search. Resume consultations, interview strategy and business makeup advice is available. Be aware we expect this booth to become crowded during the event so please come with ample time in order to take full advantage of the all resources.
Message Board After attending an information session and conducting a private interview, many companies post interview results and additional information for job applicants on the message board. The companies post on the message board at various times throughout the day so please be sure to confirm the posting time with the company after your interview and try to check the message board periodically throughout the event.
Information Corner Here you can receive employment information packets and pamphlets prepared by many of the companies at the event. It is advised to check the contents of the information packet for a specific company prior to visiting the company booth. Please be aware, there are a limited number of information packets available.
PC Corner Computers are available for checking company websites as well as email and other internet functions. There are a limited number of computers available to participants so please try to refrain from using the PC for a long period of time.
Lounge There is a lounge space available to all participants. Please use this space at your leisure to relax, enjoy lunch or network with other participants. Stores selling food and refreshments are located both within the event hall and in the surrounding vicinity.

Items to Bring

Registration Number

Your registration number is required in order to gain entrance to the event. Please copy down your registration number and bring it with you to participant reception upon arrival. Your registration number is displayed on the computer screen after you have completed online registration and is also included in the email sent to you.

Resume

On the day of the event you will probably be meeting with many people and it is general procedure to leave a copy of your resume with any company or consultant you speak with. Just to be certain you have enough, we recommend that you bring at least 15-20 copies of your resume. For those participants with prior work experience please make sure to include this information on your resume.

Proper Attire

Please attend the event dressed in proper business attire. In all business situations first impressions are of utmost importance so make an effort to present yourself to the companies as neat, serious minded and enthusiastic. It is also recommended to avoid casual attire when attending seminars and/or meeting with career consultants.
